As part of my Costume Competitions module in my BA (Hons) Top - Up year, I constructed an 1895-6 dress with detachable yoke, featured in the Patterns for Fashion 2 book by Janet Arnold. The purpose of this module was to reconstruct the historical garment accurately and be entered into the Patterns for Fashion Award 2015.

I constructed this costume using heavyweight calico, to enhance the costume and demonstrate the original garments decoration I screen printed a geometric spotted print to the bodice and detachable yoke.
